New Technology is a Brighter Light

There's a new lighting technology that is now being rolled out across the automotive sector - high intensity discharge (or HID) lighting. As is normal with all new technologies, the cost is higher than the incumbent technology it replaces, in this case halogen lamps. And, as a result, this new technology is to date only being fitted to more expensive cars, such as larger BMW and Mercedes vehicles.
